Martin & Co was established in Manchester by John Martin in 1999. John had previously held senior positions in large firms, but wanted to create Manchester’s first niche employment law firm, as he wanted to offer a very personal and expert service to clients at very competitive rates. We continue to do this and have won many plaudits from both clients and competitors along the way. The Legal 500 directory has consistently rated us as a leading employment law firm over many years now.
We are relatively unique, as we specialise exclusively in employment law, which enables us to be at the cutting edge of developments. We also handle nearly all of our own advocacy which means that the client benefits from continuity throughout a case. This is something which our clients appreciate greatly.
We act for clients throughout the North West, from Cumbria and Lancashire in the north of the region, to Cheshire and the High Peak in the south, and of course Greater Manchester and Merseyside in between.
We act for both companies and individuals, and indeed the split is about half and half. This allows us to see things from both perspectives, which we find gives us an advantage.
